Artist's Statement
As a multimedia artist, I make art in the form of paintings. I use watercolor, acrylic, chalk pastel, oil pastel and ink on paper or canvas to express my inspirations. For graphic art, I use Procreate Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, and I sometimes combine traditional art with graphic art techniques. I gravitate toward vivid colors and semi-abstract designs.
When I find the divine in the world around me, I capture that vision in the form of a painting. Sometimes I paint a feeling, a mood, a memory, or an experience. My creative energy allows me to see things beyond the ordinary way of looking at the world. I feel a need to reflect back what I see that inspires me; I recreate it, give it permanence through art, so it will be more than just a fleeting moment.
